Six years ago, China’s President Xi Jinping announced plans for a new city, Xiongan, 100 kilometers from the capital.
Originally pitched to ease some of the pressure on Beijing, Xiongan gives authorities a chance to experiment with creating an ideal futuristic city.

SHOCKED by this crazy city in China (FIRST TIME IN CHONGQING) 🇨🇳
Our first time in Chongqing, China! This is the largest city in the world!
And it is a cyberpunk city...very trippy even.
We stayed at Jiafengbei, near Liberty Square, and also a walk away from the most popular tourist attraction in Chongqing, the Hongya Cave in Hongyadong.
We were shocked by Hongya Cave...a truly beautiful sight, especially at night time when all the lights shine brightly. The China we saw so far is nothing like what the western media tells us. We had an amazing first day exploring Chongqing. Check out what China is really like.

From rising sea levels in Mumbai to unbearable heat in Houston, cities around the world are feeling the effects of climate change. Unfortunately, they don’t always have the right infrastructure to handle its impacts — which is one reason why cities are beginning to reimagine urban design. One of these designs is a “sponge city.”

China's Largest City: Shanghai
Shanghai is China's largest city with 25 million people. With more tall buildings than any other city on earth, it is China's economic engine. But it also has challenges, like the oppressiveness of the Communist party, the inequality created by the hukou system, and sea-level rise.

Of all the cities on earth, the pace of civilizational transformation is most evident here. The World WON'T Believe China's New Infrastructure (America Failed)
In this video, we take a look at China's new infrastructure and how it's far surpassing America's in terms of design and construction. China's amazing infrastructure is making America jealous, and the world won't believe it!
This is Wuhan's new monorail line, just one of the many forms of high-tech public transport they have throughout this futuristic city of the future. How does it compare to New York's subway? well it's simply uncomparable. America just can't compete. They would first have to clean up their homelessness problem and their rat problem too!
After riding Wuhan's completely automated monorail I decided to catch one of their autonomous taxis! Yes that's right there's no driver to the taxi. It was like something out of a science-fiction movie. It was truly shocking! My mind w...

China is one of the world’s most fascinating and complicated countries, and its cities seem to get bigger every year. Considered a rural society just a few decades ago, China today is home to the world’s largest urban population.
In this travel documentary, I take you on a journey through some of the country’s most interesting cities. While many city centers are filled with modern skyscrapers, we also search for more traditional neighborhoods, historic sites, tranquil parks, special events, and cultural activities. We look at the rapid changes China is undergoing in its urbanization process, and mention some of the challenges the country is facing.
From the modern megacities of Shenzhen and Guangzhou we travel to the ancient centers of Beijing and Xian. We visit the popular Summer holiday beaches of coastal Qingdao, and the exciting Winter festivals of Harbin. From the streets of fusion cities like Hong Kong and Macau we continue our journey to Tibetan Lhasa, located on the Rooftop of the World. We also take a look at the disappearing alleys of old Kashgar, in the controversial Xinjiang region, and the empty streets of Ordos, China’s best known ghost town. And we explore the expanding urban centers along the Yangtze river, including Wuhan and Chongqing, all the way to the fast paced metropolis of Shanghai.
I traveled through China independently for more than a decade, on several occasions. The footage in this video was shot between 2010 and 2019, and is accompanied by background information. For more in-depth information on each place, I recommend to read, watch, and listen to as many different sources as you can.

Here’s a brief overview of the content in this video:
We begin our journey in Shanghai, one of China’s most remarkable cities. Its skyline has become a symbol for the country’s economic growth. While we look at the modern face of Shanghai, I also visit some more traditional neighborhoods, even though they are disappearing fast.
We travel onwards to Harbin, in the North of China, to visit a spectacular Winter festival, with sculptures and palaces made from ice and snow, which draws millions of tourists every year. Beijing, the nation’s capital, is our next destination. This is the political heart of China, but also brims with culture and creativity.
In Chongqing, located on the mighty Yangtze river, we witness some of the urbanization process, while in Lhasa we look at the traditions and customs of the Tibetan people. We travel onwards to Xian, where we walk on the ancient city walls, eat some delicious food in the Muslim neighborhood, and visit the magnificent Terracotta Army.
After Xian, we travel to Ordos, China’s best known ‘ghost town’. After which we continue our way to Kashgar, in the now controversial Xinjiang region, where the faith of the Uyghur people hangs in the balance. Qingdao is our next destination, one of China’s most beautiful coastal cities, where we also explore some of the suburbs.
Hong Kong is perhaps the perfect mix between East and West. A short ferry ride away, Macau retains some of its Portuguese history, but is also known as the ‘Las Vegas of Asia’ with its many casinos. Just across the ‘border’ from both, Shenzhen has grown into one of China’s largest and wealthiest cities, while it was just a small fishing village 40 years ago.
The last two cities we visit are Wuhan and Guangzhou, which have their own distinct character. I visited Wuhan before the pandemic broke out, and found a sprawling city. Guangzhou is also a vast metropolis, and is known for its Cantonese culture and cuisine.

The last two cities we visit are Wuhan and Guangzhou, which have their own distinct character. I visited Wuhan before the pandemic broke out, and found a sprawling city. Guangzhou is also a vast metropolis, and is known for its Cantonese culture and cuisine.

Beijing city tour this video about Tour of Beijing China City Ultra HD In this video, you can see The beauty of Beijing city that you may not have seen before If you are looking for Beijing city tour 2020 video then you must watch this video till the end.
Technically, the city of Beijing is developing very fast. However, when it comes to food and drink, it is still in its infancy. Just as Voda-Pao in Mumbai and Chhola Bhatora and Chhola Rice are available at reasonable prices everywhere in Delhi to fill your stomach, so in Beijing you will find traditional food vendors everywhere who have been decorating their shops since morning. They are there so there is no problem to eat there.
In addition, the Chinese themselves are very keen on a variety of foods. There are different festivals throughout the year. In February, for example, the Chinese New Year was celebrated for several days. So was the Spring Festival. On such occasions, people living outside the home get a rare opportunity to interact with the locals.
Despite all its advantages, one of the major disadvantages of living in Beijing is its climate, which is so bad that it is difficult to get out without a mask, while Beijing has made its mark on the world map in terms of technology.
Only when the level of pollution is reduced here in summer, people can see the blue sky and go to play with children in the park.
Beijing's nightlife also attracts immigrants. In addition, the city is full of art and music and important and interesting historical events.
Therefore, it can be said that those who come to Beijing do not leave here empty-handed. There is something for everyone here and that is probably why so many people come here.

Although one city design certainly won’t save us from the effects of climate change, “sponge cities” can help with how we live with it.
Here are some studies and articles we used to inform our reporting:

Shanghai is China's largest city with 25 million people. With more tall buildings than any other city on earth, it is China's economic engine. But it also has challenges, like the oppressiveness of the Communist party, the inequality created by the hukou system, and sea-level rise.

Of all the cities on earth, the pace of civilizational transformation is most evident here. With over 25,000 buildings standing 12 stories or more, it has more high rises than anywhere else and is the most important economic engine in China. But there are real challenges on the horizon for this city of 25 million: some that took a pandemic to fully emerge, and others that grow more frightening with each passing year.
This is Shanghai, a bellwether of the 21st century.
The most populous city in the People’s Republic of China rises on the low-lying swamplands where the tributaries and lakes of the Yangtze River Delta meet the East China Sea, and the vast Pacific Ocean beyond.
Founded in the tenth century, its easy access to the extensive Asian interior made it an ideal location for those seeking to trade regionally and - eventually - with the empires of the West. In the 1800s, after a prolonged struggle with imperialists who used subterfuge and sabotage - like hooking millions, China was forced to allow foreigners greater access to its markets–and control over much of Shanghai. The city became a foothold for the British, French, Americans, and Japanese, who took possession of designated areas in the city, called “concessions,” where they established businesses that extracted great resources and wealth. Many Chinese call this the “century of humiliation.” Shanghai was essentially split into a “Chinese” half and a more modern European-styled “Western” half home to around 35,000 foreigners. Despite this dysfunction, the combined area thrived and by the mid-1930s it was one of the largest cities in the world with three million inhabitants.
Shanghai is where the second world truly began, as Japan unleashed Blitzkrieg. The combination of siege warfare and aerial bombardment, followed by attacks and house-to-house fighting, produced the horrific scenes now associated with Europe, but was first reported in China’s megacity.
Despite this nightmare, a glimmer of humanity still flickered in Shanghai, as evidenced by its unconditional welcoming of any Jews fleeing.
The war’s aftermath brought the Communists to power. This forced many foreign businesses to move south to independent Hong Kong. Despite this drain on capital and talent, the economic heart of the People’s Republic of China remained in Shanghai, and for the next four decades, this vital port city provided 70% of all the tax revenue that was collected and spent nationwide by China’s central party, whose bureaucrats were ensconced in Beijing–1,100 km away.
This was an untenable burden on the Shanghainese, and in 1991 two of their local leaders seized a rare opportunity to change things. After the crackdown on student protesters in Tiananmen Square in 1989, China’s Paramount Leader Deng Xiaoping wanted new management in Beijing. The reins of power were turned over to two former mayors of Shanghai: Jiang Zemin, who succeeded Xiaoping as paramount leader, and Zhu Rongji, who became Vice Premier. They declared that Shanghai would be the “dragon’s head” of China’s modernization.

My mind was blown!
China has been building an absolutely stunning amount of new infrastructure over the past few years, and the world is just won't believe it. From bridges to highways to airports, China is doing an amazing job of making a mark on the world stage.
From the massive bridges to the world's fastest railways, China is putting the US to shame with its amazing new infrastructure. If you're a fan of infrastructure projects, then this video is definitely for you!
